Pastor Jeffrey Bateman, Senior Pastor

Pastor Jeffrey Bateman grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1996, Pastor Bateman graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Youth Ministries. Since his graduation, he has served the Lord as a Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor and Senior Pastor in Pennsylvania and Vermont. In 1997, Jeff married his wife Amy and the Lord has blessed them with 5 children. Pastor Bateman and his family moved to Mount Pearl in November 2008 to become the Pastor of First Baptist Church. His desire for the church is to see God’s people firmly grounded in God’s Word and the next generation prepared to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Bateman’s life verse is Philippians 3:10, “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.“
